On Sundays at St. Mark’s, you’ll see people in the congregation wearing casual clothes, business clothes, “Sunday dress-up” clothes, and even an occasional pair of shorts (if it’s warm enough). We’re a downtown church that welcomes a wide diversity of people.

Everyone attending worship is handed a bulletin that has the full service printed in it, except for the hymns which you’ll find in our hymnals. Episcopalians worship aerobically – we frequently stand (especially for singing, sometimes for praying), we sit to listen to Bible readings and the sermon, and most of us kneel to pray. You’ll observe that not everyone does the same thing at the same time. Don’t worry if you’re not sure what to do – just read along in the bulletin and follow the crowd.
