Holy Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body, the Church (Book of Common Prayer, p. 298). At St. Mark’s, we welcome people into the community of faith in this sacrament of inclusion. Baptism are meant to happen in community; the day for Holy Baptism outlined in the Book of Common Prayer offer us the opportunity to both celebrate those being baptized and to renew our own baptismal covenant.
