Music from St. Mark's Community Concert
Saturday, March 25, 2017, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Over 150 children from the Children’s Chorus of SA, St. Paul’s Montessori School, and St. Mark’s will be accompanied by the Youth Orchestra of SA in this fun afternoon of music.
This community concert is part of the world-wide ‘Friday Afternoons’ music project, based in Aldeburgh, England. The project is centered around Benjamin Britten’s ‘Friday Afternoons’- a series of children’s nursery rhyme songs, designed to encourage a love for music and singing in choirs. The concert will conclude with four of John Rutter’s American folk-tune arrangements, accompanied by harp. Underwritten by the St. Cecilia Guild.
There will be two shows, one at 5.00pm and another at 7.00pm. Tickets are free, but required. Go to stmarks-sa.org and click on Sign Up/Registration.
