Bread of Life Grants

The Bread of Life Grant is a $60,000 grant, allocated over three years ($20,000 per year). Inspired by St. Mark’s umbrella vocation of “Feeding San Antonio with the Bread of Life,” this grant will create the space for a long-term relationship to grow between our congregation and the grant recipient.  It will also make a much larger impact on the ministry and work of the entity receiving the grant. Thus, the successful applicant for the Bread of Life Grant will be able (in the application) to interpret and describe how their project/program lives into the statement, “Feeding San Antonio with the Bread of Life.” St. Mark’s will also expect significant involvement of its parish members as volunteers with the recipient over the three-year grant period as one of the means toward the building of relationships. These opportunities will also need to be described in detail in the application. The Bread of Life Grant will be awarded to one recipient each triennium.  The top three applicants will be contacted by committee members to schedule on-site visits as part of the committee’s discernment process before awarding the grant.
