Native Plants and Pollinators, Phil Hardberger Park
10-12 a.m.  June 11, 2022
Like butterflies?  Curious how to create a garden that will attract native pollinators?  Join Master Naturalist Emily Hawthorn on a Saturday morning tour of the new native plant garden at Phil Hardberger Park's Urban Ecology Center.  Learn how to spot the difference between a gulf fritillary and a hairstreak, and which plants can attract these glorious creatures to your home garden.  Our morning will conclude with a guided walk over to the park's most newsworthy new feature, the Land Bridge, where native plantings grace an innovative wildlife bridge that stretches across Wurzbach Parkway.

Attendance limited to 25.  All ages welcome.  The Land Bridge walk (optional) is a half mile in each direction, on sometimes uneven trails.  Heat and fitness advisories apply.  Note: the park has several entrances.  We will be meeting inside the main entrance at 8400 Northwest Military.
