Music From St. Mark’s presents: Evensong + with the UTSA Percussion Ensemble

The afternoon begins at 3:30 pm with a recital by the UTSA Percussion Ensemble. They will present a program of music written for keyboard instruments featuring the xylophone, marimba, vibraphone and glockenspiel. Graduate and undergraduate students participate in this ensemble directed by Professor Sherry Rubins. Choral Evensong at 4:00 pm, sung by the St. Mark’s Choir, includes David Hogan’s Mount St. Alban’s Canticles, Edward Bairstow’s, I sat down under his shadow, and Paul Halley’s Jesu, the very thought of thee. A festive reception and dedication of Threads of Blessings Tapestries, given in memory of Elizabeth (Betsy) Johns Simpson, will follow in Gosnell Hall.
