About
My name is Luke Merritt. I’m from Port Aransas, Texas and grew up going to Trinity by the Sea Episcopal Church there. Growing up on the beach, a lot of my hobbies centered around nature: surfing, spearfishing, hunting, hiking and free diving. I started going to Camp Capers at a young age and I really fell in love with the place and the connection to God that I found there. I spent two summers counseling because I was set on giving kids the same camp experience that I had and wanted to help them find that same connection with Christ. Currently, I’m a member of the Honors College at UTSA where I’m a rising senior studying mechanical engineering in hopes to work in the privatized space flight industry. I’m the chapter president of Phi Delta Theta, a fraternity whose philanthropy is dedicated to assisting families effected by ALS and raising money for research. I’m excited to work at St. Mark's and want to help our students form a strong foundation for their faith.
