About
My family and I have been a part of the St. Mark’s community since 2016. I am currently, or was previously involved in ministries including Children’s Formation, VBS, Mind the Gap fellowship group, outreach projects and opportunities such as Day of Prayer and Service and Christmas to the Streets. I completed 4 years of Education for Ministry. Most recently, I began serving on the Outreach Committee and the Altar Guild.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and the Director of Resident Care at Magdalena House Ministries. I have dedicated my career to serving others with mental health needs and specifically those impacted by trauma.
I remember reading the core vocation on my first visit to St. Mark’s and instantly felt it was a place that aligned with my own values and desire of serving others. I believe having such a clear statement of St. Mark’s calling helps guide the Vestry discerning both the importance of our common life in the church and the impact we can make in the broader community.
We first visited St. Marks in 2016 and quickly knew this would be our new church. After moving back to Boerne from Tennessee, we travelled along IH-10 trying several churches until we found St. Mark’s and were finally home. We were immediately drawn to the beauty of the nave, the stained glass, and the amazing choir, but more importantly, drawn to the people we met, the core vocation, and the words, “radical hospitality of Jesus Christ” written in the bulletin. St. Mark’s continues to be a welcoming, loving, and nurturing community for my family and me.
