Choir Pilgrimage 2026
JULY 13-26 | SALISBURY AND ST. PAUL’S CATHEDRALS, ENGLAND

The 2026 choir pilgrimage will be a two-week residency July 13 - 26, journeying to Salisbury Cathedral, Wiltshire, followed by St. Paul’s Cathedral, in the heart of London. This will be the second two-week residency that St. Mark’s Choir has performed, and it will be the second residency at St. Paul’s Cathedral at the invitation of the cathedral clergy.
Music provides an intergenerational experience for our youth and adults and therefore is a central part of Christian formation. Choral residencies provide an ideal environment for our choir members to build and strengthen their relationships with one another, and they require hard work, learning new and challenging repertoire, raising the standard of musical excellence both at St. Mark’s and abroad.
We are formed by singing settings of ancient Christian texts everyday such as the Magnificat (Song of Mary, BCP 65), Nunc dimittis (Song of Simeon, BCP 66), and Preces and Reponses (Prayers of the People). When we gather to sing Evensong each day, we pray for the assembly, and our ascending prayers join others who are praying in that moment, anywhere in the world. This experience not only allows us to sing music specifically written for magnificent cathedral spaces, but it also gives us an opportunity to share American music with others in those resplendent structures.

We warmly welcome anyone from the community who would like to join us on this exciting journey to England.
