About
My husband and I moved to San Antonio in 2019 and were married at St. Mark's in 2020. We were welcomed by members of the parish on our very first visit and continue to feel that same warmth every time we attend. I am drawn to the strong choral tradition, the challenge our clergy offer each week, and the friendships I've made here.
At St. Mark's, I've been involved in Sacred Ground, working with the youth group, and volunteering with outreach events like Christmas to the Street and assisting refugees. Prior to moving to San Antonio, I was active in ministries in the Diocese of Mississippi, including serving on the committee for ministry with the LGBTQ+ community and as lay rector for a Cursillo weekend. I have also served as a board member for Our Daily Bread, a nonprofit that supplies hot meals to those experiencing food insecurity. Professionally, I am a licensed clinical social worker and have worked extensively with community organizations related to mental health.
St. Mark's Core Vocation serves as a wonderful guide for how we spend our time and resources as a community. I believe the Vestry should listen to the needs of the congregation and the community at large and find where those needs intersect. St. Mark's has given me so much—opportunities for personal growth and ways to serve those around us—and I look forward to helping shape future opportunities for the parish.
