About the event

While many of us imagine our religious orientation has some impact on our lives as citizens of our community and nation, do we intentionally allow ourselves to think about the intersection of our beliefs and how we participate in civic processes? Join us for a six-week class that will look at spiritual practices that inform our lives. Using Parker Palmer's outline of five "habits of the heart," we will reflect together on those and our baptismal promises. This is intentionally not about partisan agreement or policy positions. Rather, it looks at how, as a faith community, we can create safe spaces to reflect on important issues in our civic life and respond to them faithfully. It honors the diversity within our community and allows for a posture of curiosity as we engage differing perspectives as a strength of Anglicanism.
