DOK Baby Shower

Honor the presence of Christ in every child by bringing a gift to share. The St. Mark’s Chapter of the Order of the Daughters of the King will host the annual Epiphany Baby Shower on Sunday, January 11, at 9:15 a.m. In the tradition of the Magi, bring your bagged or wrapped gifts of baby and toddler items (diapers, clothing, etc.) for families in need of support, through the programs of Good Samaritan Community Services. The roots of Good Sam began with ministry at St. Mark's under then-Rector the Rev. Everett Jones and grew into a diocesan effort. In 1951, the first meeting of the board of directors of The Good Samaritan Center was convened while the Rev. Dr. Harold Gosnell was Rector of St. Mark's and benefited from his initiatives. Good Sam actively serves as a charitable entity and catalyst for change in partnership with our city, United Way, and the Episcopal Church, among others.
