Little Hands at the Altar

What is it that we’re doing together when we share communion? Young children and their families have an opportunity to explore this practice together. This interactive learning experience dives into the rhythms and meaning of the Holy Eucharist. Together we will discuss the different parts of the service, handle and learn about the “holy hardware,” and better understand our sacred space. No class is required for those who wish to receive communion, but we hope this activity helps our children to be active participants on Sundays and prepares them to receive the bread and wine during the liturgy.
