Tea, Scones, and Conversations

Lewis Fisher will be speaking on his newest book, Texas Trails and Glass Pyramids: Creating the San Antonio Botanical Garden, just published by Texas Tech University Press. It tells the story of nearly a century of plans for a botanical garden that emerged and disappeared until a neglected ridge in Mahncke Park became the garden in 1980. He will describe the vision and bold design choices that have helped shape the garden's distinctive regional identity.
